Just seven days ago Paulo Fonseca was "on the brink of becoming Everton manager" - according to Portuguese media outlets.

This week he was donning a Zorro outfit at a press conference after his Shakhtar Donetsk side ended Manchester City's 28-match unbeaten run!

Fonseca appeared in a black hat, cape and mask to fulfill a promise he had made to dress up as the fictional vigilante if Shakhtar qualified from a group containing favourites City and Napoli.

"This is the most joyful press conference of my career," Fonseca told reporters.

Who was that masked man? Shakhtar boss Paulo Fonseca!

"I feel great joy. I think not only Shakhtar’s supporters but all Ukrainians have to be proud of our team. Twelve points in such a group is fantastic."

Shakhtar only needed a draw to be sure of qualifying, but won 2-1 - depriving a heavily rotated City side from becoming only the seventh club in Champions League history to win every game in the group stage.
